My story
What I've Learned
I’ve led teams through change, layoffs, mergers, acquisitions, and extraordinary transformation. I've coached individuals and teams in high tech companies, government and healthcare organizations as well as entrepreneurs and business owners.
On my journey I’ve experienced the best and worst of leadership. I feel blessed to have learned from some of the best leaders in the world, showing me what excellence under pressure looks like. I have also witnessed high-performers doubt themselves and struggle to express their value, and accomplished teams lose their spark under lacklustre management and disjointed culture.
What I Love
What I've loved most throughout my career is working with brilliant people --- partnering with them to foster new insights, bring out their best and achieve great things with enhanced confidence. These experiences showed me the importance of knowing your value and feeling empowered to show up with authenticity in our professional lives. We all deserve to thrive and not just survive in today’s fast changing workplace.
My Turning Point
A couple years ago, I hit a turning point. After years of juggling work, leadership, and family, I stepped back — to refocus and realign. I purposefully took steps to reconnect with what’s always mattered to me.
I completed my Executive Coach training through the ACT Leadership Development Program at Brown University, and obtained my certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach. Throughout the past year, I have donated my time to coaching professionals and driven individuals.
My Why
I've helped grow companies from $2-20 million, guided teams through 4+ rounds of layoffs, been acquired, led 2 acquisitions and managed layoff impacts during one of the largest private equity software deals in history.
My career has been an extraordinary experience fuelled by learning and growth which suits my entrepreneurial spirit. However, what really matters when I get out of bed in the morning, my true north star, is my family. I'm proud to be happily married for 25+ years to the best guy I know, and to be the Mom of 2 incredible young adults who are pursuing their passions and making their mark in the world.
We are fortunate to live on the west coast where hiking, oceans, forests, raindrops and sunshine abound. And our two black labs complete our immediate family and provide no end of laughs and joy. In fact, they are the only ones who agreed to have their photo shared here. So, here is a picture of Piper and Riley in one of our favorite daily walking spots.
